1)  I just want to say this website is an  ingenious idea. I wish I would have found this website months ago when I first started doing research on obtaining my own 135. Back in June 2008 I submitted the PASI to the FSDO. I immediately called them up to ask when we get could get started on the paperwork. I had anticipated that it would be a long process. The gentleman at the FSDO proceeded to tell me that "it will be at least a year before they even start looking at my paperwork for processing. It will be even longer for you to obtain your 135 company." I said, "no I'm interested in the single pilot 135, not the full or even the basic." He said, "I see that, and yes it will be a year before we get around to doing your single pilot 135 company."Since then I have tried many different ways of either obtaining my own company or of operating under somebody else's company. This has not been an easy process and doubt it will be easy even transferring a 135.Thanks for the help though.

‚Äč2)  Joshua...we have been looking for the past couple of years for a 135 operation. Either a basic or full company. There are several contracts each year that we would like to bid on, but they require a 135 Air Carrier. Very few FSDOs are processing new applications at this time. We work out of 3 different FSDOs and they have all told us the same thing. Do not buy a company and immediately try to move it into their area, because they are not going to cooperate very well. Their recommendations...purchase a company...operate the 135 for a period of time to show actual transfer of ownership as the company was issued. Gradually replace listed personnel with our new people and then move base of operations into our FSDO. That is our plan. We want to buy a company with a current and active 135 company. We plan on leaving it in place for at least 6 months. During this time we would like the listed DOO, DOM, and Chief pilot to remain while we gradually replace them. If the company is actually bringing in business, we would be willing to leave in place indefinitely with current personnel. There really is no reason for us to move the company, other than have it nearby to us. Thanks.
